    Standard IAP Fume Arm Filtration units use a fire-retardant nanofiber MERV 15 filter. The system also includes an 18-inch reverse-flow disposable filter and HEPA filtration is available as an option.     A standard FAF unit is designed around a dedicated source-capture arm, but larger systems and custom configurations can be designed to serve multiple workstations. IAP can also configure dual-arm filtration systems or combine multiple extraction arms and fans with ductwork when a project requires several welding stations. The appropriate configuration depends on simultaneous use and required airflow.

  • Do I need a centralized dust collector for welding fume extraction?

    Not necessarily. A centralized dust collector can be appropriate for large facilities with many permanent welding stations, but individual fume arm filtration units can be a practical alternative for smaller shops, welding labs and facilities where a centralized duct system is unnecessary.
