Ambient Air Cleaners

Ambient air cleaners

It’s that time of the year, when temperatures fall, and facilities keep their doors closed. This magnifies issues with air quality. One solution for air quality issues is ambient air cleaners. These are available in different sizes and configurations. During colder months of the year, we typically start to see a resurgence in demand for these ambient air cleaners. In addition, a lot of these customers want to get their hands on the units as quickly as possible and, for the most part, we can respond to those demands on our standard unit offerings (larger and more specialized units may have longer lead times).

These ambient air cleaners are offered in single phase, direct drive and 3-phase, belt-drive. We also have different filter options available for any number of applications that customers may have. Available filter configurations include: MERV 8 Pre-Filter, MERV 11 or 15 bag filters, HEPA after filters, Charcoal Filters/Canisters and Gas Phase after filters.

Availability & lead times; While the ongoing supply chain issues of these last few years have been challenging, IAP continues to be committed to maintaining adequate inventory levels to accommodate ongoing demands for our ambient air cleaners. As a result, lead times on most standard units are currently in the 1-2 week range.

If you’re experiencing air quality issues and think ambient air cleaners might be a solution, email sales@iap-airproducts.com or call 931-372-0050 and we will be glad to help you out!

When evaluating a welding fume extractor, it’s easy to be drawn to large CFM numbers. What often isn’t clear is where that airflow is measured. In many cases, those numbers are tied to motor ratings, not the airflow available at the hood where fume capture actually occurs. This article helps explain this.
