Introducing Our High-Performance IAP Laboratory Extraction Fume Arms

If you’ve spent any time in a lab, you know how important it is to keep the air clean and safe. That’s exactly why we designed our IAP Laboratory Extraction Fume Arms—to capture fumes, vapors, and particulate right at the source before they become a problem. They’re built to make labs safer, cleaner, and just plain easier to work in.

IAP Laboratory Extraction Fume Arms

Tough, Reliable and Easy to Work With

Our laboratory extraction fume arms come in 3" and 4" diameters, depending on how much airflow you need. We use aluminum and polypropylene tubing to keep them strong, lightweight, and chemical-resistant—ideal for tough laboratory environments.

You can mount them on the wall or ceiling, and we’ve made both options solid and dependable. Ceiling mounts include stainless steel plates, while wall-mounted arms use heavy-duty, powder-coated brackets. Everything’s held together with stainless steel hardware and springs, so you can count on these arms to last.

Customize It Your Way

You’ve got options. Pick a clear or white polypropylene hood depending on what works best for your space. Each lab arm includes a built-in shut-off damper so you can easily control airflow and even save a little energy when it’s not in use. Ceiling-mount models also come with a trim kit to keep your install looking clean and professional.

Solid Airflow Performance

The 3" arms move between 90–150 CFM, while the 4" models handle 175–270 CFM. That gives you enough power to handle a wide range of tasks—no matter the type of work your lab’s doing.

A Few Options to Choose From

Here’s a quick breakdown of our models:

  • LA-0305-CM: 3" diameter, 5' long, ceiling mount
  • LA-0305-WM: 3" diameter, 5' long, wall mount
  • LA-0405-CM: 4" diameter, 5' long, ceiling mount
  • LA-0405-WM: 4" diameter, 5' long, wall mount

They’re all easy to install and integrate into your existing setup.

Perfect for All Kinds of Laboratories

Whether you’re in a research lab, a university, or working with chemicals or pharmaceuticals, these arms are a great fit. They keep the air cleaner, reduce exposure to harmful substances, and make life a little easier for everyone in the space.

Let’s Get Your Lab Set Up

If you’re looking to upgrade your lab’s ventilation or just want a smarter way to deal with fumes and dust, our extraction fume arms are a great place to start. Have questions or need help picking the right setup? Reach out—we’re happy to help you find the right fit for your lab.

When evaluating a welding fume extractor, it’s easy to be drawn to large CFM numbers. What often isn’t clear is where that airflow is measured. In many cases, those numbers are tied to motor ratings, not the airflow available at the hood where fume capture actually occurs. This article helps explain this.
